Wyatt Windholz Cowboy Legacy Horseman Award

Garett Windholz has created this award in memory of his angel son, Wyatt. Wyatt was born in December 2020 and was only on this earth for 31 minutes. In that brief time, that sweet angel felt all the love his family has for him and how they were blessed by him. In his memory, this award is open to all the youth competing in GPHA and the buckle will be awarded at our fall Awards Dinner to the youth who demonstrates the attributes of a true horseman. Do they show respect, positivity, a desire to learn, honesty, appreciation of their horse, courtesy to their fellow competitors as well as other show attendees? Do they care for their own horse's needs (capabilities will be taken into consideration)? When there are errors in their ride, instead of getting frustrated and taking it out on the horse, do they stop and think of ways to work with the horse to correct the issue-or recognize it may be all on them as a rider?
